S.M.A.R.T. Explorer is an application and underlying API that lets you monitor reliability and performance of S.M.A.R.T. compatible ATA/ATAPI devices installed on local system and, under certain circumstances, across the network. The exposed API allows to access S.M.A.R.T. functions easily from a variety of Integrated Development Environments (IDE). S.M.A.R.T. Explorer is designed to monitor not only computer's hard drive. It's capable of monitoring remote hard drives via network through DCOM technology.
