 NetResident is a network traffic monitor that captures,
stores and analyzes all packet traffic from selected protocols. It reconstructs
each event and displays a preview of the web page, email message or other
communication that took place, including transmitted (unencrypted) passwords.
NetResident supports standard HTTP, FTP and Mail protocols, as well as special
protocols via plug-ins (ICQ, MSN, News). The program is easy to use and
organizes the logged data by date, machine and protocol, and also offers several
basic filters to exclude stations, sites or file types from logging. NetResident
runs as a local service.
