Wednesday, 16 July 2008 PFrank (Peter1s Flexible RenAmiNg Kit) is flexible file
renaming tool that enables you to rename your files using simple or complex
renaming schemes. You can add incrementing number counters, prefixes, postfixes
and more. The program supports meta data for audio files, images, and video
files, and can extract the information to be used in the new file name. The
program includes a set of pre-defined renaming commands that can simply be
selected from a drop menu, and the results can be previewed before any changes
are made to the actual files. Advanced users can build any renaming sequence
they like using the pre-defined commands in combination with regular
expressions. PFrank is certainly flexible when it comes to custom renaming
options, but it also requires some dedicated involvement with the configuration
and documentation.
